Zoning and Building Violations / Citations
|
<< BACK |
The Municipal Code and the California Building Code provide regulations for the placement, construction and maintenance of all buildings throughout the City. The Zoning regulations outline specific zone districts for commercial, residential and community centers. When there is a violation of the codes reported to the City, several code compliance tools are used to gain voluntary compliance. If voluntary compliance is not gained through a Compliance Order, staff has the ability to issue Administrative Citations in the amount of $100, $200 or $500 per day for each day that the violation continues to exist.
Before your start construction or make repairs to your home or commercial property, contact the Community Development Department to ascertain whether building permits and plans are required for your project. |
