Hearing
on the request of Peoples’ Self-Help
Housing Corporation to consider Case No. 10-1543-DP/CDP (application filed on March 23, 2010) for approval
of a Development Plan and Coastal Development Permit to allow removal of the
existing travel trailers at the Carpinteria Camper Park and demolition of one
single family residence in order to construct 43 apartment units and a 4,346
square foot community center under the provisions of the Commercial Planned
Development (CPD) Zone District within the Residential (R) Overlay; and to approve
the Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the State Guidelines for
Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act. As a result of this project, significant but
mitigable effects on the environment are anticipated in the following
categories: Aesthetics, Air Quality, Cultural
Resources, Geology/Soils, Hydrology/Water Quality and Noise. The MND and all documents may be reviewed at
